Creating an account
All clients of Rodel can use the portal. The only pre-requisite is that your email address needs to be registered with our system.
Your email address would automatically have been registered during any previous finance application or during your current application (if it is your first one).
Our client portal offers immediate access to number of facilities such as:
- Apply for finance online – simply and easily.
- See the status and aging of all your active deals.
- Find the contact details for the risk analyst and sales consultant assigned to each deal.
- Download a settlement quote.
- Username: should consist only of letters and numbers.
- Email: is the valid address that you used during your applications.
- Password: Your password should be longer than 10 characters and should not contain your username, email address or things like ‘1112223334’, ‘password1’ or ‘letmein’. The most secure option is a long, easy to remember passphrase like ‘slippery banana shoes’.
I have a problem...
The email address you are trying to register with has not been used in any previous applications and we have no record of it. Please contact support@rodel.co.za for assistance.
As a fraud prevention measure, we need you to verify that the email address you used to create the account belongs to you. We send an activation email to you with a unique link that is used to activate your account. Please check your inbox for the email and click the activation link.
If you did not receive the activation email, please contact support@rodel.co.za for further assistance.

Managing my account
Go to the Password Reset page, type in your email address and click ‘Reset’. A password reset link will be sent to that email address. In your inbox, click on the link provided and type in your new password.
Should you experience problems changing your password or not receive the password reset email, please contact support@rodel.co.za for assistance.
Online applications
Once you have created an account and logged in, you can use the portal to apply for:
- Seller’s Advance / Transfer Duty
- New / Further / Switch Bond
- Buyer’s Transfer Duty & Rates

After submitting your application, you should download and print the PDF copy of the application form. The application form has two pages – the first page is the application and schedule and the second is the undertaking. Both pages should be signed as indicated and emailed to app@rodel.co.za.
You can download the application form in a number of different ways:
- Immediately after successfully submitting an application, you will be taken to a confirmation page. Click on the “Download Completed Application Form” button.
- You will receive a confirmation email after submitting an application. This will include links to view, edit or download the application. Click on the “Download” button.
- On your dashboard is a list of all “Unsubmitted” deals. Click on the kebab menu icon at the end of the row for that deal (three vertical dots). A menu will open up with options to edit, view or download the application. Click on ‘Download the application form’.
Seller’s Advance / Transfer Duty
- Copy of Client’s ID
- Copy of Sale Agreement
- Copy of Bond Instruction / Guarantee(s) (Buyer)
- Copy of Bond Cancellation Figures (Seller)
New / Further / Switch Bond
- Copy of Client’s ID
- Copy of full Bond Instruction (together with conditions)

Our old application system would require documents to be printed out, signed manually by parties involved and then emailed back to us. Whereas our electronic signatures option is much more secure as the client using the application portal, has requested that we register them on the system prior to creating an account. This ensures that their actions within the portal are legit and are not liable to fraud.
